About Kim Oanh

Attorney Kim Oanh Trong Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam. She immigrated to Pennsylvania, United States with her family in 1975. She attended UC San Diego where she received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, she worked for Hughes Space and Communications (now Boeing Company) in Torrance, CA. Quickly realizing her desire to work closely with people on a personal level resolving people's everyday issues, she decided to attend Loyola Law School. In 1995, she was admitted to practice law in California. Subsequently, she started a real estate and mortgage business which she operated for over 15 years. She holds a Real Estate Broker's license and is an active member of the California State Bar.

Her interest in estate planning grew during the pandemic when members of her family and friends faced mortality issues. Often loved ones are left with having to sift through major piles of paperwork or putting together the pieces of a puzzle in order to settle a decedent's estate. Kim Oanh wanted to assist others deal with these important matters during their lifetime to ease the burdens left to loved ones and to ensure their legacy continues when they are gone.

She currently resides with her husband in Manhattan Beach where they are active members of their church and local community.  They have two young adult sons, Nathaniel and Austin.
